IN BRIEF

National Coming Out Day E-Rally

National Coming Out Day E-Rally.Kentuckians from all over the state came out as Fair-minded constituents on October 11. Joining the virtual crowd were students at the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University. Student groups graciously invited us to partcipate in their National Coming Out Day celebrations, and it made for a wonderful day.

"I was incredibly impressed with the students I met today," said Communication Director Misty York, who attended the UK event. "These folks are out to change the world. Their enthusiasm is inspirational."

Thank you to all our dedicated e-activists, who are bringing the call for fairness to Frankfort year-round, and in record numbers.

Kentucky State Fair brings allies together

Banner: Fairness Campaign of LouisvilleIn August KFA joined our friends at the Fairness Campaign in hosting an informational booth at the Kentucky State Fair. Volunteers talked to visitors about fairness issues, registered new voters, and worked to drum up support for passing a statewide fairness law protecting everyone in Kentucky from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. The State Fair wrapped up our summerlong "Unbridled Pride" campaign, which culminated on August 26 with our celebration of Gay Day.
