
Travis Myles, Chairperson

Mr. Myles received his Associates in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Louisville. He later completed his law degree at the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. After 10 years of private practice, Mr. Myles now works as a staff attorney. He chaired the Social Security section of the Louisville Bar Association for two years when in private practice. He sometimes sings with VOICES of Kentuckiana (a regional LGBT chorus) and has served as the chair of their public relations committee and Beaux Arts Ball committee. He co-chaired the Beaux Arts Ball committee in 2005 and 2006. He became a board member of Kentucky Fairness Alliance in 2007, and the chairperson in 2009.
The Ampersand symbolizes the solidarity we are building through Friends & Family, and suggests the inclusiveness we are working toward. It reflects the idea that no one individual, legislator, organization, or city can carry all the water for equality. Our success lies in our solidarity.
