Ms. Smith is a native of Kentucky who currently resides in Boyle County. She works as a Clinical Director for Ephraim McDowell Hospital and holds two current medical registries. She is a member of the American Association of Sleep Technologists and the Kentucky Sleep Society. She is also obtaining her degree in Health Care Administration at Midway College. Sarah is a member of Amnesty International and has been working for years to bring human rights to GLBT people in all parts of the world. She joined KFA’s Board of Directors in 2009 and is excited about the possibility about being able to make a difference in her home state.
The Ampersand symbolizes the solidarity we are building through Friends & Family, and suggests the inclusiveness we are working toward. It reflects the idea that no one individual, legislator, organization, or city can carry all the water for equality. Our success lies in our solidarity.
