Joe Hedges
Murray
Joe Hedges is an instructor in the Murray State University Department of Journalism and Mass Communications and adviser to The Murray State News, the award-winning student newspaper. He has been at Murray State since 1990. Prior to that, he was a reporter, news editor, and publisher with
newspapers in Tennessee. He joined the Board of Directors for Kentucky Fairness Alliance in November, 2009.
The Ampersand symbolizes the solidarity we are building through Friends & Family, and suggests the inclusiveness we are working toward. It reflects the idea that no one individual, legislator, organization, or city can carry all the water for equality. Our success lies in our solidarity.
