Ms. Cummings is a native of eastern Kentucky and a resident of Richmond. A longtime member of KFA's Gray Dove Chapter, she joined KFA's Board of Directors in 2007. She seeks to empower Madison County's GLBT community by working on passage of a local fairness ordinance and is committed to KFA's long-term goal of passing a statewide fairness law. The social work values she adopted while obtaining her Master's Degree at the University of Kentucky have equipped her with the necessary knowledge and skills to move fairness forward in Kentucky.
The Ampersand symbolizes the solidarity we are building through Friends & Family, and suggests the inclusiveness we are working toward. It reflects the idea that no one individual, legislator, organization, or city can carry all the water for equality. Our success lies in our solidarity.
